Question by Andrea J: does irradiating gem stones take away from its metaphysical properties?

There is no such thing as “metaphysical” properties in gem stones in the first place.
Even if there was, given that those stones are million (if not billion) of years old and are found in the ground (where stuff like uranium, radon and other naturally radioactive isotopes are also found), the natural background radiation would have irradiated them eons ago.

A stone is a stone is a stone. A stone has no real, measurable metaphysical properties so there’s nothing to have an effect on. It’s just a hunk of mineral. If you believe otherwise, I have a bridge I’d like to sell you. Metaphysics has no place in a real science section. Try over with the loonies in Myths, Horoscopes, etc.
Irradiating gem stones can NOT be proven to take away the metaphysical properties of radiation!
That was the question you asked. It had nothing to do with stones or gems.
