@richardruiter I am Catholic. If I remember correctly, Jesus was born around March/April, but the church decided to celebrate in December to try to get the Pagans to see that we are not so different, as a way to try to convert them to Christianity. They wanted our Catholic holidays to be close to the Pagan holidays, like I said, so they could convert the Pagans to Christianity, and snuff out the Pagan religion without having to kill them all.
@preachhellsfire oh my fucking god. You really think the earth is 6000 years old. Then why in the fuck is the grand canyon billions of years old num nuts. JFC. You belive in something you have never seen or herd. You just think its real. You cant prove jesus is real, nor god. I can prove gods not real because god must be a liar big time if the earth is 6000 years old, when its billions of years old. And i hate how christians always refer to stuff from the bible when none is true. Stop the crap.
@amooballer No doubt. I hope you don’t think that all Christian are fucking nuts. I’m Catholic and everyone knows the World is billions of years old. 99% of the bible is metaphor. If you talk to an actual well educated Priest in the Catholic church, i think you would get a much different perspective on how “educated” Christians view Christianity. What is your belief in regards to God? Is this video series your attempt to disprove the existence of Jesus?
Horus wasn’t born on 25th of december. Mithra was. But let’s say he was born on that date it doesn’t has anything to do with Jesus. The bible nowhere states that he was born on that date.
Most of the so claimed facts (or maybe all!) are based on lies or they didn’t research it that well. Roman catholics started to celebrate the birth of Jesus on the 25th dec. I guess they mixed up Mithra and Jesus.
Talmud says there were almost 900 generations of humanity before Adam and Eve. Also states universe is 14 billion years old or so. Humanity gained technology/ total free-will around 6,000 years ago. When humans started making more complex choices, cities, ect. that is what Torah means when says “I will make you in my image” ie I will make you think about your actions and thus become technologically advanced, ect.
so have they figured out what Jesus’ last name is yet? We all know it isn’t Christ because Christ merely means anointed one. Wonder if people are even still looking into that? Great video though, thanks for sharing
@bobbit3 ok, your response is clearly wrong on so many levels… but the main kicker is this. Jesus was not a Christian! thats the funniest thing i’v ever heard. Do you even know what a Christian is or what that word/term means? Christian means one that follows Christ, or a follower of Christ, a disciple of Christ. How can Christ follow Himself? wow…
@imanoutkast I think it is otherwise. That God’s plan was somehow known by numbers (including astrology) to the Pagans. Thats the reason of the coincidence, not that God took Pagans methods for His plan.
So in European setting, when we found the true belief and religion, Christianity, we placed it as our priority, adapt it into our tradition or cultural setting that includes our perception, and we disposed off the pagan belief. When the people long time ago adopt the Christian belief, they replaced pagan belief with Christian belief. I know it is confusing but that’s what I understand from what the priests explained to me. n_n I just want to share. Thanks n_n
to help people to understand more about why the Christians have similarities with the pagan appeals, I’ll use simple language and less religious jargon. It is like this, let’s say I like red colour and I owned an old Adidas shoe but it is actually a fake Adidas shoe, not the original one from Adidas company.
When I see an original Adidas shoe at shop, I get it and use it. It looks the same as my old one but I throw the old one. I used the new one because it is original.
Jesus Christ was actually born somewhere in March. However, due to uncertainty of calendar system at that era, modern church adopt 25th December as Jesus’ birthday to symbolise that we Christians find our true saviour and true guidance to God. The adoption was all in purpose of symbolising that we remove our Pagan belief because we have found the true belief which is Christianity.
How can I help people to understand hm? (please read my 3rd comment)

@EightThoughts jesus has never been proven real, ever. And never will be without hard facts. not stories from the bible. And yes the bible is crap.

… crucifixion was not invented, along with the term and practice/method, until the 6th century. how then could Horus (3000BC) have been crucified?
@amooballer read the first chapters of Genesis and you may find the Trinity of God. Then speak.
lol the only reason islam aint pagan is cus they ripped of judiams.

@amooballer the mistake this guy made is to say earth was created 6000 years ago. Adam was created 6000 years ago
Our Lord Jesus is not born on 25 December
