Question by October: Dragon Tarot Cards?
I’m thinking about buying a deck of Dragon Tarot Deck, Premier Edition by Peter Pracownik, Terry Donaldson. Has anyone else bought these? Are they any good?
I’ve never had a tarot deck before, so this would be my first. Is the a good deck for beginners?

I have a Celtic tarot deck that I like.
What do you think? Answer below!
If you love it, buy it!
Anyway, if you want to use it, better get use to it first.
Have you seen the whole deck? Before buying it, I would recommend you check it out well, so you won’t be dissappointed later. Below are two links you might want to check out to familiarize yourself with the deck.
I like dragons, but this deck does not work for me, since there is too much of the indiviual meaning lost by replacing everything with dragons.
Just follow the links and see how you feel about it.
I LOVE dragons! I used to have this deck. I got it as a second deck when I was fairly new to Tarot. I liked the art, but did not like to book, to brief, and as a student of tarot, I found it discouraging to read with.
I now have been reading for about 15 years and would get this deck again and probably would have no trouble with it.
For a beginner, many will recommend a Rider Waite deck but there are other decks out there that are equally good for a beginner. All depends upon what your interests are. From the decks that I have, I suggest checking out the Fey, published by Lo Scarabeo. The book is awesome, the best I have found. It has a nice breakdown of each card and gives a little bit of the history of tarot as well as the evolution of the Fey deck between creator and artist.
The deck follows pretty much in the Rider tradition of meanings. Another deck you might want to look into is Legends, which is about King Arthur. The book that comes with the deck is another good one. Each card has a story that is part of the legend and helps in knowing what each card represents. It also follows the Rider meanings with a small change in the elements that associate with the suits, but work just fine for this deck.
Over all, look around at more decks. There are hundreds out there, find one that has a theme of something you already have interest and/or knowledge of, for that will aid in your learning.
