What is it about magic that entices us so much. Is it the illusions? Is it the fact that the mind does not understand why things disappear without knowing. If your like me you absolutely love magicians and magic tricks. It becomes an obsession and it starts from your childhood. As children we love to be dazzled by things we do not understand. Magic is one of those things that move us and make us want more. I never understood a magic card trick till I was out of college. A magic movie is no different and have been popular since the beginning of television. Shows like I dream of Jeannie and Bewitched started things off showing us the funny yet curious side of magic. Movies about magic have also followed over the years. The prestige was a great magic movie that did excellent at the box office. Disney shows as of late are really bringing the kids in to their realm with shows like Wizards of Waverly place. This is what kids live for and it just may be an even bigger phenomenon.

The biggest magic movies of them all is the Harry Potter series. They are the highest grossing movie franchise in movie magic history. Its not just children who are wrapped up in these movies parents are just as intrigued and cannot get enough. I personally have watched every Harry Potter film and cannot wait for the last three to be made and released. The sorcery and witchcraft that takes place is awesome to watch and of course the special effects do not hurt. Whether its Harry Potter of TV shows you and your children can have a great time watching together. These magic movies are not just for children and lets face it as adults we need to be more in tune with our kids anyway.
