I have everything I need for the costume, but I need some tips on making Amidamaru in Spirit form and Yoh’s necklace. If I think of anything else I’ll put additional details.

Get black string, and take 3 black beads (like Yoh’s) and when you put each one on, you tie a knot between each bead (in front of it and behind it) so it will stay in place (or put glue).
By the way, Yoh’s necklace (his baikai it is an item that connects with spirits/ghost) he wears it everywhere because Matamune had helped Yoh save Anna but Matamune had been killed.
For Amidamaru, start with a styrofoam ball as a baseb and seal (Sealing keeps paint or glue from simply seeping right into the holes in styrofoam. You put on maybe 3 or 4 layers of a clear-drying primer like Acrylic Gesso or Mod podge (either of which you can find at any art supply store and I believe Micheals, and Mod Podge can be found at Jo-Ann’s as well and probably other craft stores.). Be sure to let each layer of whatever you use dry BEFORE starting on another layer. It can take a few hours to do all the layers, but it’ll be worth it. After you’ve sealed the styrofoam, you can paint on it) it VERY WELL with acrylic gel medium, gesso or mod podge, then you can paint it and add details with funfoam and maybe carefully sculpted tissue paper for the flames coming off his butt.
