im a young headbanger, i just turned 14 a couple of days ago, and ive known Venom for like a year, still its good that youre spreading the awesome music of the first thrash metal and black metal band
Stupid people. I was at this show! Jeff is playing a flying V only time in his life he played one. The only reason he did is because of idolizing KK Downing. Look at the playing out the Judas Priest roles. Pioneers!!!!!
Just so you younger Headbangers know, Venom from England influenced Slayer, Check Venom’s shit out, they are cool as fuck. If you don’t believe me enter this into youtube and you will be a believer. “Venom Senile Decay”. Holy shit! The song Senile Decay is one of my top 20 favorite songs of all time. Venom destroys!!!
Amazing footage . Check the crowd – they dont know what to do .They were very before their time soundwise. You have to think what was around and popular in 1983 .Its kind of increadible to see the comparison with any band from playing to 300 non interested people then and today -30000 nutters .
@nemakur
This is a Fender Precision Olympic white (they were an iron Maiden cover band at the beginning :-), but I saw another shot here in which he plays a Fender Jazz Bass 1975-1979 (?). Tom turned to B.C. Rich before recording? Show No Mercy, a wonderful NT Eagle special release I never found anywhere in the past two decades… And Kerry and Jeff were 19 years old in this gig, the “songwriting” is unbelieveble, more than other things! Tracks were as original (it was 1983!) as consistent!

the crowd isn’t moving because they’re watching slayer and realizing that they’re about to change metal in many ways!!!!! Fucking SLAYYERRR!!! m/
the way he said ‘slayer’ sounds so weird
@Xception2Rule
haha true that. when i went to go watch the big four some guy yelled SLAYYYERR! while entering the room and everyone cheered.
The crowd is scared to death ! None of them are moving a single muscle ! Slayer is to strong and evil

Slayer make Metallica sound like pussies! I am 40 years old. Metalhead for the last 25 years.
One sign of a great band: they kill it even if there are only 12 people in the seats.
man if i was there i would have been going crazy, people in crowd are a bunch of dumbasses.
@MrKiller2505 i think they’re expecting a glam band, and they get Slayer in their face lololol
why the hell the crowd just stand and watch?!?!?!
From the very beginning of their career.
