Chakra Stones – A Gentle Method of Healing
Chakra stones can be traced all the way back to ancient India. The chakras are believed to relate to the seven major energy centers of the body where there is vital energy that flows through and intersects. When all seven of the major chakra and energy centers are clear and balanced, a person is thought to be able to reach their optimal wellbeing emotionally and even physically.
Chakra stones are representative of each of the seven major chakra areas in the body. The seven chakra areas and the chakra stones that go along with them include:
* Crown chakra – this chakra area is the seventh chakra and the chakra stone used is a violet stone like an amethyst. The benefits of this chakra include that of peace and wisdom. The physical attributes of this chakra are the brains and the glands.
* Third Eye – this chakra is the sixth chakra area and the chakra stones used are indigo stones like sodalite. The benefits of this chakra include those of vision and awareness. The physical attributes of this chakra are the face, ears, eyes, nose and central nervous system.
* Throat – this is the fifth chakra area and the chakra stones that are used include blue stones like aquamarine. The benefits of this chakra include those of courage and focus. The physical attributes of this chakra include the throat, neck and thyroid.
* Heart – this is the fourth chakra and the chakra stones that are used are pink stones like rose quartz. The benefits of this chakra include love and caring. The physical attributes of this chakra include the heart, upper back, breasts, lungs, blood and air circulation.
