Also, not a Wiccan. I’m a Chaos Magician that focuses heavily on the Black Arts, Spirit Magick, and Psychokenesis, but I’ve felt the nasty effects of reading new age works and applying them. Even being bold enough to work with the Daemons of the Medieval Grimoires as a weakling because of all the books that told me that spirits are “just your imagination.” It took me some time to recover, but I came out of it having the right knowledge and skills necessary for the performance of such magick.
..In Duality they either compliment each other or they automatically oppose each other. No in between. And no, there’s nothing wrong with Dual religions, but there are misinterpretations of religions that make infinite fodder for dilettantes to subscribe to. Of course, there’s no harm in dilettantes… until they write books, causing mass self-destruction due to incompetence and mishandling of powerful forces. Magickal philosophy has a direct impact on the safety of managing these forces.
Wicca is Polar, not Dual. The Dualistic version is the New Age system based upon a misinterpretation of Wiccan Teachings, as a result of people reading books and interpreting them withing the Judeo-Christian Model. The significance of “God and Goddess”, whether theistic or not is in the “Masculine/Feminine” Principle, which is part of the Principal of Polarity, which states that “Opposites are two halves of the same whole”.
Um, it has nothing to do with wicca. The woogyman is a shadow, when she says “return to dark where shadows dwell” she means go back to where you belong!
They need to do their research before they write the script. “Return to the dark”? What if it doesn’t come from the “dark”? Wicca, unlike the transcendental based revealed religions, is non-dual.

They banished the Nexus with another spell then the one that they used to banish the Woogy.
Woogyman/Shadow: Demon banished in the Nexus.
Nexus: Spiritual point of energy, a neutral power.
The writers messed it up sometimes but the Nexus and the Woogyman are two different things.

Wicca is FULLY dual! God and Goddess. It’s a dualistic religion, completely! Not that there’s anything wrong with that.
