Charmed is a hugely popular U.S. TV drama series from Spelling Television.
Charmed chronicles the lives, loves and conflicts among the three vastly different Halliwell sisters and their journey towards fulfilling their ancient prophesized witchcraft destiny.
The Haliwell sisters have always been different, not only from the world around them but also from each other. They are bound together by blood and by their destiny, but individually they could not be more different. Yet they form an everlasting bond with the discovery that the three sisters are powerful good witches, collectively known as the Charmed Ones.
The Charmed TV Series focuses on their relationships, their attempts to keep their witchcraft heritage a secret and their numerous battles with demons, warlocks and the forces of evil.
Each sister has her own set of unique and constantly evolving powers; Phoebe (Alyssa Milano) can levitate, has premonitions, and the ability to feel what others are feeling, known as Empath. Piper (Holly Marie Combs) can cause explosions and has the ability to freeze time. And finally, Paige (Rose McGowan), half-sister of Piper and Phoebe, is half white lighter and can move things with her mind and orb in and out of planes.
It was the untimely death of Halliwell sister Prue in an earlier series, that awakens Paige’s powers and drew her towards the other two sisters to once again evoke The Power of Three
Paige’s sisters help her to develop and harness her power in order to assist them in their battle with evil as foretold in the Book of Shadows.
