Question by turdhanger: Did Al Sharpton or Jesse Jackson jump on the racist band wagon over the L.A. times op-ed about Magic Negro?
The Times op-ed, written by cultural critic David Ehrenstein, is headlined “Obama the ‘Magic Negro.’ ” Ehrenstein invoked the cinematic trope of the “Magic Negro,” which he defined as follows:
The Magic Negro is a figure of postmodern folk culture, coined by snarky 20th century sociologists, to explain a cultural figure who emerged in the wake of Brown vs. Board of Education. “He has no past, he simply appears one day to help the white protagonist,” reads the description on Wikipedia [].
He’s there to assuage white “guilt” (i.e., the minimal discomfort they feel) over the role of slavery and racial segregation in American history, while replacing stereotypes of a dangerous, highly sexualized black man with a benign figure for whom interracial sexual congress holds no interest.

Sharpton and Jackson are leeches living off the poor. They ride around in style, have money to burn and only come out when someone like Imus, pokes fun at blacks. On comedy central, all the black comedians us the “N” word, the “B” word and HO all the time. I guess that’s OK, but don’t let a non-black utter those words, then its racist.
Look at the Rap and Hip Hop words, same thing.
They have been driving that bandwagon for a while. A prominent black needs to come out and specifically state that most blacks do not agree with their views.
They sleep with us white folks. Stop living in a cave, well what ever you do don’t live in Mississippi. Same difference, It’s like a freaking time warp. Don’t try to figure it out because THEY, like it the way it was. “Circa 1960” that gives them something to hang on to. Sheeeeesh, Wake UP!! or do like the rest of us , give up.
