Live vom Summer Breeze 08
Welcome to Hell off of the 1986 demo “Abominations of Desolation” I dig Browning’s vocals on this track more than Vincent’s on the re-recording. Recorded with Mike Browning on vocals and drums. This song would later appear as “Evil Spells” on the album Altars of Madness, with a few lyrical and musical changes, most notably the line up of Vincent, Sandoval, Azagthoth, and Brunelle. Line-up: Mike Browning: drums/vocals Trey Azagthoth: guitars Richard Brunelle*: guitars John Ortega**: bass *Mike Browning has said that Richard Brunelle played guitar on the recording. **Some sources claim that Sterling Von Scarborough played bass on the recording.

i like those songs in abominations of desolation much better.. the slower.. more brutal! m/ m/
@thrasherzach i loved mike’s vocals on the key. my favorite song on there is before christ/after death.
hell yea. their underground shit
This album is, in my opinion, the first pure Death Metal album of all time.
EVIL SPELLS!!!
Damn, I though Trey was on vocals on this. Now my appreciation of this album rises even more. Beyond the piccolo toms… I’ve always loved piccolo toms on drums… on this Abominations demo and Manowar’s Battle Hymns piccolo toms make the difference… never live since then from either band.
The version of this song on Altars of Madness sounds much better. But yes, I also prefer Browning’s vocals on this recording.
excellent version
Abominations of Desolation is a good record but I think Trey abused too much on the solos.
morbid angel=awesome!
Morbid Angel’s version is better!
i think this version is better, evil spells is so fuckin slow(but is great to) ,this version is most brutal ,in my opinion this album had the best sound of morbid angel ,the other albums of morbid angel are great ,but this fucking sound is just incredible
FUCK YES!!! i like both versions it dont matter!!.
welcome to hell is soo much better than evil spells idk why they changed the lyrics
death metal god’s ¡¡¡¡¡¡¡
