Another great vid Grimbo. The “heart” as you call it,I usually make with a fairly large tinger ball made of both quick hot burning elements and slower but hot burning elements. I usually carry a wet weather tinder bundle in a waxed paper bag with a cotton wool ball pitch pine glued to the pinched up top.One spark usually ignites the cotton ball then the pitch pine then the wax paper bag, inside it I usually have cedar bark & highly resinous pine strips and oiled jute. It works a treat. 5 stars
me too for sure. It happened to me a week ago when i tried to get a fire gong after a wet night. I spent the whole time poking it around and never got to sit and enjoy the fire.
Its all about planning really.

Love the way it sat drying the upper layers, then suddenly erupted. Patience is the key 🙂
I’d have been poking it about and ruining it!
thanks for making.
