The Glastonbury Goddess conference 2008 on its last day. With a sacred procession to the Chalice Well Peace gardens, and ceremony therein. This was followed by a brief visit to the White Spring, where darkness prevented useable shots being taken, and a further walk to Chalice Hill, where some of the celebrations were held under an ancient Oak Tree. The Goddess being worshipped this year, is the “Wild Maiden”. Last year, it was the “Crone” being featured. It was decide to hold the ceremony on Chalice hill this year, as Glastonbury Tor’s summit has been partially fenced-off to allow the grass to grow. So joyous! I’ve wanted to go for soooo many years now, but never seem to be able to make it with transport problems and money – if only I’d thought ahead i could have come this year with my daughter…too late now Dat!
