knowledge of God that has reached down to know him. And only through being known by God Paul then knows his place in the world. It is not through knowledge of the world that we come to know God’s place in the world. But rather it is by being known by God that we come to know our place in the world. The difference involves a seismic shift in perspective. It is a matter of coming to see things from God’s perspective, not our own. It is a matter of regeneration in Christ.
Author of many Christian books, Phillip A. Ross has been a pastor for over 25 years. He founded http://www.Pilgrim-Platform.org in 1998, which documents the church’s fall from historic Christianity. His profound exposition of First Corinthians in 2008 demonstrates the Apostle Paul’s fierce opposition to worldly Christianity. Arsy Varsy—Reclaiming the Gospel in First Corinthians, Ross’s book, shows how Paul turned the world upside down.
