Question by drglenh: Has anyone taken a ‘degree’ from the University of Metaphysical Sciences?
I’m interested in various aspects of metaphysics, also alternative health and healing, etc, and also eastern religions. I came across the “university of metaphysical sciences” based in California and offering ‘degree’s by correspondance. Does anyone have any experience with this institution?

I fail the entrance exam.

metaphysical science is an oxymoron. metaphyisics are baloney.
I nearly graduated. But I got caught cheating on the final exam. I was looking into the soul of the guy next to me.

Just buy one from the Universal Life Church. That’s how Wiccans get their “Doctor of Divinity” degrees.
For $29.95, you can’t beat it. You can also be a Jedi Knight for $5.95. It’s worth about the same as a degree in Metaphysics.
I don’t know of any, but I do know a few who have been taken by the University of Meta….sci.. when the degree was sold to them.
To the person above: Wiccans don’t get “Doctor of Divinity” degrees. Our learning and power comes from nature, not other people.
Save the postage and materialize one. Means as much, just as real.
I did in a former life. My favorite professors were Franz Kafka, Shirley MacClaine and Samuel Beckett. My thesis was on the process of floating in and out of consciousness from the perspective of a cockroach- whilst extending myself from a tree limb and contemplating the existence of God. I got an A. My PhD will be from the Ayn Rand institute of Objectivism. They tell me that it’s straying from “my path” a bit, but I don’t care anymore. I just want to make money now. tee-hee…. just joking of course. Peace. and best of luck to you.
Most universities like that are just another way to spend your money on something that means nothing. Now i do beleive in metaphysical things, alternative healing and such, but you would be beter off doing your own research. Some real universities offer classes in alternative healing and even Eastern philosophy and religion – some community colleges even have community outreach classes (my local one does).
Oh I got my ordination from ULC – as a joke. It was free – then they charge you to get the diploma and certificates…..
