If anything, I’d go for I) if this is in fact a serious question.
I mean, there are people categorised as shamans from so many different cultures wit so many different traditions and habits, there is no one answer for something like this. Also, I doubt there is much, if any, scientific research in order to validate any of the answers to this question.
