Question by Kestrelyn: How many Christians denounce Paganism without knowing what Pagans believe?
Shouldn’t you learn first what you are denouncing, rather than going off in a rehearsed tirade? Use your own thoughts and knowledge rather than just because the “bible says so”?

Give your answer to this question below!
Where else could information come from other than the Bible? :O
/sarcasm
Paganism is the spawn of Satan
Jezz..im kidding lol
Probably because their taskmasters tell them to.
Just as why some Christians still think that atheists worship the devil.
thinking for yourself is not what christianity is about, that goes pretty strictly against the “childlike faith” policy.
There is only ONE God. All others are false. Even your pagan deities.
probably about 70 – 90 percent, like fireball, hydra and lady kk
you notice how most people who denounce christianity actually know what they’re talking about.
example
“who gets your vote for best christian”
most of the christians who answered said jesus or mary even though in the bible, it clearly states that they were jewish

I don’t think Christians rush to denounce other religions, but some are very opinionated and want others to believe what they believe. I believe that a caring and loving Christian would respect your beliefs, want to understand what you believe, and also be able to share why they believe in Christ without demeaning you in anyway. I am sorry if that has been the case and I can assure that the majority of Christians are not like that. 🙂
Not me. Have you thought that perhaps with one third of the world being Christian there might be a wide variety of opinion on pagans?
I agree, many (but not all Christians) have little or no knowledge of any of the other faiths and just denounce them as being Satanic without ever troubling themselves to understand what the beliefs are that they are actually attacking.
There are closed minds among Pagans too, as there are in many other faiths but, in my experience, most Pagans have actually searched hard for answers to the difficult questions in life and found them in Paganism after studying Christianity in some depth and not finding what they were looking for there.
It’s a four letter word lol
and the word is
FEAR
I know what pagans believe. I used to have a boyfriend, who, although he was a “cradle Catholic”, practiced paganism on the side. He was getting quite deeply into it, and I was not comfortable with it, which was one of the reasons I left him.
I do know enough about paganism to know that it isn’t Christian, and that the “powers” they use do not come from God, but from Satan (although those who practice it don’t realize this – they actually believe there is a “power” out there than can be used for both good or evil, but the source for both is evil. There’s no such thing as a “good side” of evil. Satan can do things that may appear to be “good”, but it is only used to draw people away from their only source of Salvation. The lure of paganism is that it leads people to believe they can empower themselves (finding the “god” within you) which is a form of self-worship, which is the same as satanism. In fact, this is the first lie Satan told Eve in the Garden of Eden – “You can be like gods”. And ever since, this is what all the pagan religions of the world have been striving for – to be their own little “gods”.
God’s Word is the sole source of Truth on this planet. Everything else comes from Satan.
That’s the nature of Christianity – Christians “know” they are right so everyone else has to be wrong. Fireball is a good demonstration of the extreme kind. I like the few pagans I know – like me (a Satanist) they’re wonderfully open-minded and I’m sure they have things to teach me.
Queen Kira – the asker means shouldn’t you learn the *actual* beliefs of pagans before denouncing them. Not the Christian beliefs of what pagan beliefs and practices are – but the ACTUAL pagan beliefs and practices.
You went off on that rehearsed tirade just as the asker points out.
“and that the “powers” they use do not come from God, but from Satan (although those who practice it don’t realize this – they actually believe there is a “power” out there than can be used for both good or evil, but the source for both is evil.”
Yeah right – I’m being tricked by Satan, but you’re not. Okay. How arrogant of you to decide I’m an idiot but there’s no possible way you could be wrong about who your God is.
The energies I use come from my own energy combined with the earth elements. Are you saying Satan created my life and the earth elements? Because I thought these were gifts from your God? Hmmmmm….
But back to the asker – sadly, this is what many of them are taught. Don’t question, don’t educate yourself about others who don’t belive the same as you – they are all bound for hell, yaddah yaddah yaddah – it’s drilled into them.
I really have never met one good Christian that
denounced my religion… of course I have seen
a few so-called Christians do it, but I don’t think
they had a very genuine spiritual attitude.
