I have had a set of runes, and they never gave me a good readings, always negative. So I gave them to a person who has been Wiccan/pagan waaay longer than I and is adept at tarot card reading. She told me not to have them in a bag,but a box. She didnt say why. her friend, also Wiccan,told me that we can bless pouches and bags all day long, but any spirit will have a hard time attatching itself to a box. True?? not?/ explain, please?

PROBABLY because when something supernatural fails to work (Which it does exactly as often as you would expect it to if it had no powers at all) there’s always an excuse. Always something YOU did wrong to make it fail.

There is no proof whatsoever for them working. And they don’t. So don’t be conned into using them.
People speak from personal experience. What works for one person might not work for another.I have several set of cards and I find it doesn’t matter if you keep them in a box or in a bag. Do what works for you and never mind when someone says you MUST do this or that.
Some people will tell you to keep them under a piramid when not in use. Others will tell you to leave them spread on an open window sill to absorb the moonlight. Still others will say to never let another person touch your cards unless you tell them to.
For my part, I don’t believe there is any spirit attatching itself to the cards or that the cards themselves have any powers of their own. It is all about the reader and the reader’s energy.
What ever you FEEL is right for your runes and cards is what you should do. Everyone has different ideas and ways – none of them are right or wrong for everybody.
If you believe in it – then it is right for you.

The best person to ask this of is the eprson who stated it. If they cannot explain, chalk it up to superstition. Just because you believe in the paranormal does not mean you have to be superstitious. Don’t be fooled into doing things that have no logic to them. Lots of people can give you advice, but if they can’t justify it, then they’re essentially passing gossip.
Personally, I see no reason why it would matter what you would keep them in. I see no reason why a spirit would have an easier or harder time with a box over a bag, and I see no reason why a spirit would want to inhabit your cards or runes anyway. Do you fear spirits will invade your pencils?
Always have a rational reason for doing something. If it doesn’t make sense, ask for clarification, or don’t do it. That’s the common sense approach to the paranormal.
I have read Tarot cards for years and have always had good luck with using a pouch. I don’t think it really make s a difference unless it makes a difference to you personally. If you believe that it makes a difference then you create that and you have to follow your instincts.
Personally I believe that it does not matter what you have chosen to keep your cards or runes in as long as you blessed it for that job and continue to recharge the energy once it a while.
