Simply fascinating ……….

It’s great how the priest and the tourists were essentializing the shamans and pretending they knew more about the shaman than he did. He apparently had to be in the middle of the forest, the atmosphere wasn’t ‘suitable.’ What would they know beyond their preconceived notions mainly from dubious and accounts of travelers and social scientists?

I found it funny that just after the tourists were commenting “I don’t think this is a real performance”, “too touristic”, “he completed show said buh-bye, thats all”; the shaman/man in question says “Tourists want to see it, but it is just their desire, I never do real rituals for them.”
