What is that first song? That is beautiful.

  • dubhda13 says:

Can you tell me the name of the song and the artist who composed it please. Thank you.

  • Tirbrath says:

@HaddaMusical It’s Badb, “Crow” – she is part of a triune of war Goddesses (with Macha and the Morrígan) similar to the Nordic Valkyries as they can decide the outcome of battle and transport dead heroes to the Underworld. They also guard the Underworld and call out warning if one approaches death in doing some deed/the Plain of the Dead itself.

That proince is Meath and it includes Tara and was the province of the Kings. At this date the area is under threat of a M3 super high way. It is probably well under way. SAve Tara is doing all it can to spare the surrounding country side.THe arguement is that it is teh practical route to Dublin and most be done. It can however be re routed.

Loved this video. It is something very close to my heart. Only one slght criticism you might use to improve it is the map you use of the provinces does not include the fifth province of Mid which at the tme of the Fir Bolg existed and was the split of the country before thecoming of the Tuatha de Dannan. Love your videos

Excellent creative recounting of the invasions of Ireland and the storytelling of honour , integrity the , inevitable , transitions of power or from bronze to iron ages or leadership , metaphor .Save the oral traditions, the heritage of Tara and other ancient sites.

I can’t speak for Tirbrath (I do have several of their vid’s on my Celtic playlists).., but MOST of the information itself is readily available on the Internet.

Even Wikipedia has a fairly robust / comprehensive collection of Celtic history & mythology… 🙂

  • MrBobmans says:
