I’m Wiccan, though i haven’t practiced in a very long time, because i trusted Silver RavenWolf so well, and now i see how much she mislead me. So i haven’t done much with Wicca, though i have practiced my psychic abilities.

Lately i’ve been wanting to get back with Wicca, but i’m not sure where to start with the author and book and such. does anyone know where to begin?

also, last weekend i went to a powwow with my best friend and her mom. i’m part Native American, and love powwows. at first i thought this one was a little boring, until they started playing music and dancing. i felt my body sway to it and actually had to resist dancing. even when i looked at my friend’s mom (who was talking to one of the Indians) he nodded his head at me, and i heard him tell her that he saw me trying not to dance. i felt very connected to the music, and when i looked up the full moon was 20 times brighter. even my best friend noted this with awe. it was almost like i could open my eyes again, and everything felt much clearer.

i know that my great, great, great, great grandmother was a medicine woman of our tribe – basically a Native American shaman, from all that i’ve looked up. i share several similar qualities to her and shamanic powers. i guess what i’m asking is..what do you guys think of this?

I do not think it is magic. I’ve always thought it was very OT actually.

Prayers/Tobacco
Invoking rain gods/praying for rain during drought.

For a while I think Powwows and Sundances were forbidden because one nation thought the other nation was heathen, but really, we are all children of the same God. People who put down native ways were just ignoramuses.
