created everything living and non living in the universe.
But no one could sanely claim that he or she has actually seen God. But still, people still keep on believing. That is blind faith, because even if there is a greater possibility that there actually is no God, people blindly believe that there is.
Superstitions
Another set of beliefs can still be related to religion. Superstitions. They are actually product and descendants of pagan beliefs. Pagan is the ancient religion, which had existed before mankind organized religion and was introduced to concept of a single God.
Superstitions are abundant not just in the Catholic and third world countries but also even in the developed and Western ones.
For example, the belief that 13 is an unlucky number is so proliferated, that there are actually buildings around the world that do not contain a 13th floor. The superstition and the action it prompted can really be a good candidate for absurd and annoying beliefs but it really happens.
The New Age thinking
Another set of beliefs that are rampantly adopted and practiced all around the world is what is called New Age thinking.
New age thinking or religion is somehow a spin off of the Chinese feng shui. The practice centers on the belief for energies that affect and influence life and destiny.
Through feng shui, there are lucky numbers, luck dates and even lucky houses. The center of the belief is material wealth anyways, and of course people would want more money especially nowadays. Thus, there is a great following for new age thinking.
