Medicare Goes New Age with Paperless Online Registration
Betting that most baby boomers are computer-literate, the Social Security Administration has finally embraced paperless online registration for Social Security and Medicare. And the timing couldn’t be better. With up to 10,000 people applying for benefits daily and the pace expected to continue for the next 20 years, the Social Security Administration has a lot on its hands.
“It only takes 15 minutes or less to complete the process online,” says Alan Weinstock, insurance broker at http://www.MedicareSupplementPlans.com. “So it makes sense that many baby boomers would apply online for retirement and Medicare benefits and save themselves the time and energy it takes to call or visit their local Social Security Office.”
