American Heritage has the clearest definition of metaphysics I can find: “The branch of philosophy that examines the nature of reality, including the relationship between mind and matter, substance and attribute, fact and value.”
Etymonline has an interesting bit of word history on it too.
Personally, I would lump zombies in with fantasy literature. Your book store is a touch insane in the membrane. I shall worry for them if they do not repent this misdeed before the zombie apocalypse! ;`D
Very true with the space fleet… Take for instance the Microscopic Space Fleet from The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy. They invaded earth but was accidentally eaten by a dog. But unlike your example, we have proof it existed and the event took place. I read it in a leather bound book and therefore true 😉

Zombies are victims of poisoning. You should read “The Serpent and the Rainbow”.
i also have found stupid things in the Metaphysics section. Lots of fiction can end up there. Although I am not a fan of the idea of metaphysics its self and find people who rely on it to explain things irritating. I suggest if you want to see real stupidity check out what the bleep do we know and the Ramntha school of enlightenment.
