@Bldbrrg Drybrushing means that you use a brush that is nearly dry (take a little bit of a color and dry it out on a paper or something) so if you paint egdes or stuff like that there is only a really small amount of color on them – more like a finishing touch than actual painting…
Quite a nice one, how ever I must point out that any type of crystal would have sharper edges (yes even when found in nature). Maybe some realy odd 40K weather on a death world would make a crystals edge rounded? I suggest using a sharp knife to cut the actuall crystal shape instead 🙂
you could make differant types of crystals by maybe painting them like the necron crystals in the necron codex or by using unpainted clear sprus (dont know how 2 spell sprus).

@mjrdoctor when u cut that u get ugly lines where the sprue was cut, that can’t be files away
you can get green ones easily by cutting out pieces of the 40k templat sprue.

i did it on my terminator but the crystals were not purple, i painted them green

where do you get your sand, i think that Grey sand looks so much better then the standard games workshop sand.
