I NEED TO DEFINE THESE WORDS VERY, VERY, VERY SPECIFICALLY AND MY TEACHER WILL TAKE POINTS OFF IF I DONT DO IT GOOD ENOUGH. I KNOW WHAT ALL THE WORDS MEAN, ITS JUST I CANT DESCRIBE THEM CLEARLY.

shaman-A member of certain tribal societies who acts as a medium between the visible world and an invisible spirit world and who practices magic or sorcery for purposes of healing, divination, and control over natural events.
totem pole-A post carved and painted with a series of family or clan crests or with figures representing mythic beings and erected usually before a dwelling, as among certain Native American peoples of the northwest coast of North America.
Poltlatch-A ceremonial feast among certain Native American peoples of the northwest Pacific coast, as in celebration of a marriage or accession, at which the host distributes gifts according to each guest’s rank or status. Between rival groups the potlatch could involve extravagant or competitive giving and destruction by the host of valued items as a display of superior wealth.
Teepee-A portable dwelling of certain Native American peoples, especially on the Great Plains, consisting of a conical framework of poles covered with skins or bark.
Iriquois league- a league of Iroquois tribes including originally the Mohawk, Oneida, Onondaga, Cayuga and Seneca (the Five Nations); after 1722 they were joined by the Tuscarora (the Six Nations)
