My dream is to bring Pagans and Oldtime & Bluegrass music together. Lets honor the spirits of our land and create music born here for them. 25 Responses to Pagan Bluegrass, The American Bardic Tradition

  • WendingWanderer says:

You should put a video response with this that actually shows some pagan bluegrass.

I’ve never heard any, and don’t really know were to look.

  • Isharoyeh says:

I’ve been teaching myself folk songs, mostly Irish and English, but I’ve started looking for American ones. I also like to sing Pagan songs. 🙂 I agree that American Pagans would do well to embrace our folk traditions. In many ways they were preserved better here than in their homelands.

  • Isharoyeh says:

Testify, brother! You are right on!

  • ruralpotter says:

I agree!!!! I am so glad to hear you say this. Good work and good luck. I will do my part!

  • archtopone says:

I’m glad you made this video. I’m a hardcore banjo enthusiast, 5th generation carpenter, and grew up listening to the Stanley Brothers. The Appalachian Mountains are my home. ~Thanks

I’m Pagan and I do play bluegrass/celtic/oldtime to tell the good ol’ stories! Have to use a mandolin…it’s the best!

  • TelperionMoon says:

nice gypsy, keepin it real as usual 🙂

  • Gleamchaser says:

I do a Pagan version of Old Time Religion on the mandolin! I agree! Old time music is the bardic tradition in America!

  • BlueFireWitch says:

That’s why I like Native American Music and Art.

  • lmosack says:

Sounds good, but i don’t think i have ever heard it in a bluegrass way.Good idea though.i would flow with it.

  • BiDruid says:

I, too, find myself looking for Canadian music that is reflective of Canada’s natural spirit. In the East, they have rich Celtic-heritage music (worth hearing). Out here in BC, though, good folk and bluegrass isn’t much in the limelight.

  • DemonPuncher says:

hands down their singer is the shit!

  • maickS13 says:

greetings from chile, I have heard all their albums and I find amazing band

  • TheMusicMan9er says:

why is it that no matter what video it is theres always someone or a few people who have to bring up other bands… we the people who listen to stuff like this have a thing called taste, no one really cares about other bands or groups i mean damn its like compairing apples to oranges it just doesnt make alot of since. Just felt that had to be said, cuz if i read one more “lady gaga” or “justin whothehellcares?” comment ill pray the world blows up.
