I love this band since their first album, They can shred something fierce! This is – hands down – the BEST prog metal band ever.

@MishaMiou Thats why music is so great 🙂 People have different taste and different qualities appeal to different people. Its all good, I just got fed up with all the comparing going on… All musicians and singers are the best in the world. Because they are all different and unique in their expressions. Liking or disliking is down to personal preference.

this singer is annoying, james labrie is way better. WAS better. now his voice (esecially live) is all wierd and whinny. still beats this cheesy stuff. pagans mind is so much better as an instrumental band.
@220g C´mon! I`ve heard pigs squeals nicer than LaCheese. I mean, I love DT! But they would be so much better with a singer, instead of Jimmy boy with his balls in a vice. I am guessing that you already know Jorn, Russell Allen and all those guys 🙂

@220g Yeah it is pretty great hah. I’ve never liked Labrie anyway, it was the musicians I listened to DT for. With PM though you’ve got the full package! =)

I’ll have to second that. Labrie can sing, no doubt. However, he tends to be very whiny, and doesn’t have much texture to his voice, it sounds very plain to me at least. I know many people that don’t dig Labrie too much, just Dream Theatre as a whole. But THIS guy can sing his ass off, he delivers the same quality live I might add.
