Question by Jack P: Pagans – The Christian – Islam – Atheist wars on RS ought to tell us a lot about what’s not important?
I wonder if they tell us anything about what actually IS important.
Such a lot gets said here every day I wonder if we become so insulated we don’t recognize it when something of value jumps up coming from a source we’ve trained our minds to automatically discount.

what is important is your spiritual walk…dont listen to man, dont copy long poems as you did, do your walk and find your heart, and maybe hear God knockin on your door.

I suppose that there are people like that. A lot is said here that is bull$hit but some is said here that is important. Like you said though..it probably gets overlooked.

Geez. All the guy did was make a statement (one worth considering actually), and then wrote a poem—a little odd maybe, but so what? The answers here border on ridiculously agressive, and downright stupid.
As an answer to the original statement made; I think most people do not pay attention on these boards enough to learn, or glean pearls of wisdom when they see them on a rare chance. The funny thing is, that is exactly what the site is for!
Those who do happen to be paying attention (and are religious) are usually to set in their ways to consider anything else. That goes not just the fundie Christians and Muslims (who are the majority I see unwilling to consider any viewpoint but their own), but also for Pagans, Atheists, and *Scientologists*. There is beauty and wisdom, yes even here in (the mostly absurd) Yahoo Answers. But people harden their hearts and minds and give in to indifference. They aren’t open for reading anything worth reading, even if it bites them in the butt, so to speak.
Anyway, I do admit your question was bit odd, and might have gone better in a different kind of chat or board, but your original point is definitely something to consider.
I totally hear you man. There are too many musicians here and there’s practically no audience. Everyone’s singing their own song and are too busy doing so to hear any other tune. People imply they know what you’re thinking and often you’re not thinking anything like that, that’s what they’re thinking you’re thinking, and that’s in their head not yours. They’re only trying to convince each other that they’ve got each other figured out when in reality they haven’t even got themselves figured out. It’s quite the show here on the RS boards of Y!A and I’m enjoying every minute of it.
