hey everyone im interesting in learning how to read tarot cards for my self , i wanted to know what book is really good and that has every detail as upside down and upright what cards i should get.

This site has some errors in some, but they are obvious. You need other sources for whenever you find errors in the site. They have always told me to pick 3 cards. Make question and pick 3 cards then read. Sometimes i just pick one. It will make sense. This is the best site i have seen so far. Sometimes the cards are amazing.

I recommend that you start with a Rider-Waite deck and then find out what appeals to you artistically. You can browse many different decks on aeclectic.net and tarot.com.

I learned to read cards when I was young, and have collected cards for years.
Every experienced reader will tell you something just a little different, and none of them are wrong. Tarot reading is very personal, and something that you will need to practice in order to figure out exactly what works for you.
For learning, I recommend finding a set of cards that appeals to you. The most famous decks are the traditional Rider-Waite-Smith decks http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rider-Waite… because they have been used a long time and have a storyline that helps new readers learn the card meanings. But I personally find them “dead”…..Some like the modern oracle decks, and there are literally thousands of those… http://www.aeclectic.net/tarot/ My personal favorite deck, and the one I’ve most bonded to, is the Legacy deck, which is RWS based, but far more beautiful than any deck I’ve ever come across in 30 years of collecting them…

Most decks come with a book that helps you learn the cards, usually by story. I recommend starting with that, because you have the cards in front of you, you can touch them, examine them, reinforce the understanding of the story. Some people are tactile learners (hands on) and this is a good way to do this. Memorizing is not enough.
When you get ready to do your reading, start with small, easy to remember, 3 card spreads and work your way up. It’s much less painful if you start small. I also recommend journaling your readings so you can refer back to them later on, if for no other reason than to see if you were accurate. lol…
When you’ve decided on your spread, decide on exactly what to ask the cards. You need to be specific enough so that there’s no ambiguity in the message: “Am I going to be happy in the future? is not a good question.
Good questions are like :
What is the probable outcome if I did (this)?
What do I need to know in order to make the relationship between me and X better?
What are the circumstances surrounding the current situation of my job…
Things like that.
Concentration is important. The cards will need to talk through you, and you need to relax and let them.
There are some people who believe that cards need to be cleansed, or charged, or re-stacked, or shuffled a certain way. Some people insist on praying and visualizing for protection from unclean spirits before they read. And you can do any of this, if you choose. Or not. If you are sincere, you will learn what is right for you.

A good way to practice reading is to give a reading to a friend via IM (XD) or offer readings at friends parties, etc. It’s fun and most people enjoy it.
