Question by Anonymous2009: Tarot Card meaning for ten of swords reversed.?
I recently did a one card tarot spread on a relationship and the ten of swords came up as the answer card and it was in the reverse position.
I don’t know how to interpret the meaning of this card. Can anyone offer any insight? Thanks!! 🙂

perhaps the answer is that you are resisting the knowledge that the relationship is over and you need to move on
Divinatory meaning
Upright – Ruin, desolation, disruption, although generally this refers to a group rather than an individual. Sorrow, sudden misfortune, accidents, muggings or personal robbery. There is some cause for optimism; as the lowest point in the cycle, from now on things can only get better the worst is over.
Ill Dignified or Reversed – Only an illusionary lifting of burdens or release from afflictions as suffering will continue. Sometimes death and violent and extreme change. Only temporary good fortune.
Fear of ruin, to such a point that emotional relationship/finances will not work out), ego-hang up, end of problem. Self-pity, doubt, betrayal, mistrust. If next to Ace of Swords, limitations are coming up. Hysteria, it would only take one knife to kill a man, yet this person has ten swords in him, even in his ear.
Swords in general represent conflict or change, so the 10 would be the full impact of that. It sometimes implies an irreversible resolution. As for the reversed position, personally I don’t use reversals, so you’d have to apply whatever meaning you usually apply to reversals.
