Actually I don’t use Tarot cards. I use regular playing cards in Cartomancy, but I would like to know how you care for them,
Do you put them in a pouch? What if I don’t? Sometimes I just leave them out on my nightstand not even in the card box I purchased them in.
Is it bad if I let others handle them and read from them? My best friend once used them for her own readings while she was in my room; I allowed her to do so.
Also, the pack that I normally use looks really old and I have another pack that is really slippery and that I’m not comfy with. Should I use the old messy cards that I like?
Am I supposed to bless the cards when I’m finished?
I asked about the blessing b/c when I friend used the and was done she put the cards into a deck and made a cross with her fingertips on the top card them smiled

I’m not too sure about Tarot Cards, but I think you should use the old ones and when your done you should bless them. Maybe they will bring good Karma.

No rules really and I allow the one I read for to shuffle and handle the cards during their reading…makes the reading better…you could do a ritual like your friend did to ‘clear’ the energy on the cards if you like…it is all psychological anyway…

I wrap my tarot cards in a cloth, its an old gypsy tradition.
It is not bad for others to touch your tarot cards, if you are doign a reading for someone, you can let them shuffle the cards.
Yes, use the cards you are most drawn to. Gypsy’s use their cards and tarot cards until they are falling apart and hanging on a single fiber of paper/cardstock.
You can bless the cards everyonce in a while. To knock out evil energies, knock on the deck 3 times with your power hand (the one you write with).
I think that you can keep them anyway you want as long as you care for them properly. I wouldn’t let anyone else use your cards to do their own divination – have an extra deck around if you want to lend them out – because I think that there is a spiritual link between you and your cards. You can let others shuffle so that you can read for them but that should be it. It is good to bless your cards especially after reading for someone with alot negativity and problems.

The manner in which you care for your cards is the manner in which you feel happiest.
Regardless of tarot or playing cards covering them or not will make no difference as long as your happy. Keeping them safe from damage is more important.
If others handle them then place chaos back into the deck after.
Stick with your old messy ones if they make you happy as they are the ones that you have a relationship with.
