Question by : Tarot Cards – Rider Waite – best manual to learn?
I have the tarot cards and the book that comes with them, but it is really hard to decipher. Anyone know of a manual that actually shows photos of each card and interprets each? It is soooooo confusing when I look in this 100 page booklet with no identifying photos, and try and figure out which card is being referred to and how to actually do this!

The problem with using other books for the Rider-Waite is that they DON’T have Waite’s symbolism down.
I’ll say it again: The Tarot is nothing to putz around with.

I bought a book entitled “The Beginners Guide to Tarot” and it was really straight forward…I just can’t think of the author…sorry.

Don’t your cards have names on them?
There are plenty of sites with pics that can give you a basic familiarity with the cards before you develop your own personal meanings for each one.

I couldn’t help but notice your question. I run a home study Tarot/Psychic Development Course based on the Rider Waite. I also have just opened a yahoo group – holistic paths to wisdom where we practice tarot etc, that anyone can join.
With regard to book with pictures, it always pays to have the cards at hand so that you can study them closer – although a good stocked book shop, rather than the net, will able you to browse so that you can find one that suits.
