Question by jedi master: Tarot experts: How can the world and the tower cards show up together in a reading?
Cos I have been getting a lot of that recently, and it’s pissing me off already!!! I can’t understand how 2 cards like that can happen to someone all at the same time, cos they are the opposite of each other. I ask for what might happen regarding these future projects I have and the tarot keeps on replying to me with these two cards, one followed by the other!!! How can it be? Well when the tower strikes that usually means destruction, it often mean sthat something will in fact crumble down around you, something you are very used to, or is very dear to you, and that even mostly comes with pain obviously! So how can it be followed or proceeded the world card, which is the best card in the tarot and means everything good?? I’m confused and starting to feel really frustrated about this thing really! :/
Can anyone help?
oh and sorry for the really bad spelling, it’s just that I’ve been witting this PhD scholarship proposal, and I’m afraid that subsequently I’ve managed to run out of English!! LOL

lol..That does seem a bit “oxymoronic”. XD
Well, not an expert but definitely knowledgeable. The most important part of interpreting those two cards together is their positions in the layout.
The positions the cards fell in the layout are important because they indicate cause/effect and sometimes chronology and timeline of the events.
It could be that you just don’t want to accept what the cards are telling you…I mean, those cards are pretty..well…earth shattering..
The tower does indeed mean that there’s a destruction or end of something dear to you, and it’s going to be a little scary.
Could that be the end of your life of study and scholarship?
With the World card in the same lay, there’s the promise of something new, joyous, and fulfilling.
An example: lets say a woman is working on her PHD, and some financial disaster hits and she’s unable to complete her work…it’s earth shattering, maybe even demoralizing to a point. But what if that forces her to join the work force, and she meets someone, falls in love, has kids, and chooses to stay home and take care of them; what if she finds that incredibly fulfilling. Was the Tower worth the World?
I”m not saying that’s what’s happening to you, but the scenario gives you some idea of the intent of those cards.
Very best of luck to you.

Take it for how it is, a message: it’s the end of the world! AAaaahhhhh!
It all depends on what the question is then, and the other cards in the spread.
