Question by medzthemedik: What could I learn about to help me create a fictional magic system?
I was looking into Hermetic qabalah until I read about how it suggests indulging in sexual tastes like incest, sadomasochism and sodomy. I’d rather take inspiration from elsewhere
I read wrong; incest etc. are not condoned, but premarital sex might be; I have more to read.

where have you been reading ? I have not come across this in the hermetic system. I see them talk about enlightenment using the tree of life..
