Question by TravelingGal: What is the difference between an athesit and someone spiritual?
This may be simple for some of you, but will you define the differences between someone whose spiritual but states they don’t follow any religion, and someone who is an atheist? Is it correct to say someone spiritual believes there may be a god, but an atheist doesn’t believe in the possibility of a god? Searching for clarification. Thank you.

An atheist’s “faith” is fact based, while a spiritual person’s faith may have very little fact if any

An atheist simply does not believe in God.
Someone who defines themselves as spiritual is someone who would believe in a spirit, but not necessarily a God.
You can be believe in a spirit and not in a God. Therefore, you can be both.
Many atheists, such as Buddhists, Taoists, Satanists and many forms of Pagan, are very spiritual.
At least one hundred points on the I.Q. scale. Anyone who believes in the God/man is not the sharpest tool in the shed, period.
Tim Minchin explains this well.
The atheist is really fighting a losing battle. They try and handle things in a different way. They have nothing to base their life on and try and find ways to substitute for the shortfalls that naturally occur from their disbelief in God and the Living Saviour.
The atheist has given up.
i don’t know what is an athesit
Theists are people who believe that at least one deity that they are imagining is real. Everyone who is not theist is atheist, since atheist simply means not theist.
Spiritual means so many different things to different people, that it is hard to connect this concept with the simple binary distinction between atheists and theists.

None really. Certain things with an atheist require some form of faith (Note: Faith does NOT mean belief. Lets use the language we all agreed upon in this country), just as it does with someone spiritual. Everyone has faith, end of story.
READ JOHN CHAPT. 3 VERSES 1 THRU 7 !!
NO ONE IS SPIRITUAL UNTIL BEING BORN AGAIN OF THE SPIRIT OF GOD !
SO IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO BE SPIRITUAL AND NOT FOLLOW THE TRUTH ,,BEING JESUS CHRIST ,,THE WAY TRUTH AND LIFE !
YOU NOTICE I DID NOT SAY RELIGION ,,CAUSE RELIGION WILL NOT SAVE !
NICODEMUS WAS RELIGIOUS BUT JESUS TOLD HIM HE NEEDED THE SPIRITUAL BIRTH TO BE ABLE TO GO TO HEAVEN ,, ( VS- 3 )
AN ATHEIST BY DEFINITION IS LOST BY THEIR OWN ADMISSION THAT THEY DO NOT BELIEVE SO IT IS IMPOSSIBLE FOR THEM TO BE SPIRITUAL UNTIL THEY BELIEVE AND ARE BORN AGAIN ,, LIKE EVERYONE HAS TOO !
NO ONE CAN BECOME SPIRITUAL BY BELIVING IN ( A ) GOD ,,,
THERE IS ONLY ONE TRUE GOD ,,
HOPE THIS HELPS !!!
Organized religions are a subset of all spiritual paths. Examples of spiritual but not religious people would include many Pagan paths as well as the broad range of New Age believers. A spiritual person may or may not believe in a god, most believe in some sort of higher power whether or not they consider that power to be divine or call it God.
Atheists do not believe in God. Most of them do not believe in anything supernatural or spiritual.
