i just received an itunes gift card and i want to buy one of these albums… but which is better?

Blood Sugar is about 10 times better. Probably their best album, just ahead of Mother’s Milk.
BSSM by far.
Blood Sugar Sex Magik was a better album overall but Stadium Arcadium has a ton of tracks on it.

that’s a tough one, I’d have to vote BSSM..but they’re both awesome!
I prefer (and I know I’ll get alot of crud about this) Stadium Arcadium, because I prefer RHCP’s more alternative sound (Californiacation – present) than the heavier funk stuff. But as an album, I’d recommend Californiacation or By the Way over those two. But it depends on what you like.
Studies show that BSSM is approximately 7-10 times better than Stadium Arcadium with around 1/3 less side effects.

BLOOD SUGAR SEX MAGIK, no question! Seriously, one of their masterpieces.
Get Blood Sugar if you are looking for something new and original. Get Stadium if you’re looking for some alternative songs.
Blood Sugar Sex Magik…many would argue it’s their seminal album. SA is nowhere on the level of BSSM but it does have some great moments.
