Question by Treena: Why do people think that just because the Jonas Brothers wear purity rings, they won’t have sex?
I mean is it some kind of magical ring with mysterious powers that prevents them from having sex until marriage? How do we know they are not just doing it anyway, and then saying they are pure to the public?

Well if they are the Christian type they have said to be. Then, those Christians believe that if you wear a purity ring, you musn’t engage in sexual intercourse until married. They have very strict rules and regulations, and if the Jonas Brothers went as far as to expose the public to these rings and let them know of their meaning, then they must be serious about their values.

well, they are very religious family, and the purity rings don’t just symbolize that they won’t have sex until marriage. It symbolizes that they will treat women with respect, they said it themselves. And their mom also talked about it in Good Housekeeping, saying that she doesn’t believe that they are above being seduced that she would love them just the same.
well, your virginity is very important, you cant just go thorough it around, give it to that girl, take that other girls, and purity is quite a big part of Christianity, and going in public to tell people about, means hes serious. and it makes for good gossip if he does have sex.

It’s not just that. Their parents have brought them up very Christian. Proof? Nick Jonas has loads of songs about the Lord, and they moved because their parents were traveling ministers. It’s a promise they’re going to try hard to keep, and they’ve even said that they’re not perfect and they might mess up. But, they’re gonna try, and that’s all that matters..
A purity ring is a promis that you wont have sex till marriage, you make it sound like not having sex is that hardest thing in the world.
For example, some1 wearing a purity ring is promising themselves to stay pure, but whether they do or not thats not the freaking ring that prevents it. The ring is just a symbol of the promis, it doesn’t make the promis!

people have to chill. Society is so obsessed w/ who has sex first that they think sex is good now. But IT ISN’T!! Sex is not something u do w/ every person u meet and the Jonas brothers are making the right decisions saving themselves.
