I have been going to Rainbow Gatherings on & off since 1983. These clips come from a larger video that was done called 1997 Rainbowspirit. I have pulled all the Pagan songs & chants as well as others I love that aren’t Pagan from the video & will post each one here. I missed this gathering but my daughter was there. No she ain’t in any of the clips, at least I ain’t seen her. Though people of many religions go to gatherings, many are either Pagan or Native Shamanistic as well as a large sprinkle of Rastas & Krishnas, Christians & Buddhists & folks of the Vedic/Hindu traditions as well. This is the second clip in the series. ENJOY! (12/29/09) Ifyou enjoy my videos and like to see more and more quality videos, consider donating towards my “Help Gypsy get a RV Fund” by sending donations to my Pay Pal via my email, at: jlobos65 (at) gmail (dot) com Your donation will help me get out of my truck and into a bed and back up to Oregon where I can get work. SATIRE, Musical Improv of the Song O Come All Ye Faithful as performed by Princess Sunshine, New York’s own washed out performer for kids at the Wham, Slam, Bam Variety Hour, for the holiday special. THIS IS SATIRE. In the song I am also referring to Ancient Paganism, not modern Neo-Paganism. As my comments show, Ancient Paganism had blood ritual, sexual ritual, and I feel my satire is accurate. If anything my point was more of a comment on the Christian song, not a comment on modern Pagans. If you are a modern neo-pagan whatever that means to you, it was not my intention to offend. I like the beat and nice singers. but when I say Mother I feel you its not under my feet but in my heart. I dont see the earth as mother spiritually but only the body. The Great spirit is not dirt or water.

If you truly feel this way then I hope you Only listen to your particular tribes music and Nothing else. Because after all, if you listen to and sing along with rock, jazz, pop, reggae, opera, or even music from another tribe think how offense that would be to each of those cultures.

Personally, I just think it’s a beautiful song about Mother Earth. And, as long as they don’t claim to have written it, why would it matter if others enjoy it?

  • Vort317545 says:

Very beautiful and very moving! Bravo! Thanks for posting this.

  • viewfromearth says:

I listen to this song and hear beauty, connection, gratitude, and joy. It doesn’t matter what tradition it might come from or what ethnicity the people who sing it are. Music is universal, it is the rhythm of LIFE.

Nothing is wholly original. EVERYTHING has been influenced by something else. No one has exclusive rights to ideas, feelings, and expression. Cross-cultural enjoyment of music, art, language, social customs, etc. has been going on since the beginning of civilization.

who says that are mimicking native americans? we are all children of the earth. I’m so tired of “tribally enrolled native americans” acting like they are better than everyone else. most of these people are probably pagan/wiccan, which has nothing to do with native americans. people have been pagan since before the rest of the world even knew native americans existed.

  • burnssweetgrass says:

This is deeply, deeply offensive to me as a tribally enrolled Native American. What gives you the right to mimick Native American religion? You are not honoring us you are offending us. STOP your racist cultural appropriation!

  • onari1 says:

…and i’d like to go there, too

  • ray428307 says:

    people can get along***

  • hippiejessie says:

  • MerinaWish says:

We play this song in the schoolband only different than this.
More with african percussion and stuff.
And the rhythm of the voice is a tad different.

  • amnesia2x says:
