Lol… I thought it WAS Obama at first glance..
I think both versions of this song are baddass.
ralfi can put it down! no matter the situation that your in now, in your relationship.. or not.
Ralfi is the man!
TELL ME he doesn’t favor Obama right there
depends on where you live, if in San Francisco or Berkeley or LA, Amoeba records, or Rasputins for used CDs or just try to get some software that coverts records to CDs and burn your ass off.
I agree with you… I can’t believe the people trying to compare the original smokey version to Rafi’s version. I love Rafi Pagan, but let’s the truth be told. I first heard Rafi in the early 70’s with his hit “I wanna make it with You.”but , I also heard some other tunes by him Bolero’s, latin -drenched love songs that made the ladies panties melt off. just like Smokey. Cover are a honor and momage to the original in most cases. sometimes the cover is better. not in this case!
Unbelievable ignorance with some of these people. Ralfi Pagan’s talent was immense. Beautiful, passionate voice. Smokey is actually a good reference point for the uninitiated. He’s no one trick pony…amazing range and timbre, soulful, versatile. Amazing to hear from the simpletons… covers aren’t real songs? BUGSTV65 hit it right on the head…well put. Ralfi’s music was woven into the fabric of my upbringing. The passion and emotion in his music is something I aspire to as a musician.
so, where can i get some of his music without needing a credit card(like a local store or dl?)
Boricua gets down.
