We know a lot tho he’s right to say there are a few mysteries out there yet to be discovered. Tho – like you say – we know the relevant important stuff. We know there isn’t a conscious intelligence at work effecting our outcome. 370 million years ago life almost disappeared from earth just from volcanic activity. Without the huge diversity and huge volume of brutal death – land animals we came from would never have “progressively” evolved the way they did.

I will mention a technical point in the history of ideas: the medieval scholastics had considered the creation of the world (big bang universe to us) as an expression of God’s will, not his intellect. The natural laws were ideas in his intellect. There was a violent debate over whether we could discover them naturally, or whether they had to be revealed to us by grace.
The work of science has shown that we had to discover them in any case …
