I’m in need of a Vision Quest and I’ve learned about everything I need (almost) except how much salvia divinorum to use. I want to use it as a smudge. Inhaling the burnt leaves from my cauldron. I can only find information on smoking it or using it as a tea.
If you have used it like I’m wanting to, how much did you use or how do you feel when you know it’s time to stop inhaling it. I really don’t want to smoke it, as a ex tobacco user I’m afraid I’ll go back to smoking if I smoke this and I don’t want to do that. I just bought ½ oz of dried leaves off ebay. I’m worried I may use too little and my vision quest will flop or too much and I’ll have a bad trip. From what I read it’s pretty weak so I’m thinking maybe ½ cup of leaves should be ok. What do you think?
oh, meditation by itself is not working for me anymore. I’m hoping this will get me back on track.

You should buy a vaporizer, it heats it up so the salvinorum a (the chemical that causes the effects) boils but the whole leaf doesnt burn, so theres no smoke (just vapor, hence the name). But what you bought was regular salvia, which is really weak, but they make extracts, like 5x, 10x, XXX (which is 30x), and even up to 80x (i hear they make higher but 80 is the highest ive seen). I wouldn’t suggest buying it off ebay, search it on google and find some sites, i used to know a few but i forgot what they were called, but try and find if you can get it from a store in your area, itd be a lot easier
