The pictures in the book are different because it’s two different decks. The deck shown in the book is the Rider-Waite deck. The one you’re actually using is the Marsaille Deck. Not too sure why they do that. Makes me want to throw marshmellows at the writers.
The card Death does mean “death”. It just means a change in your life. The orientation of the card, rightside up or upsidedown, is what makes it good or bad.
Its more fun to play a real card game with them. Research tarot history. Tarot was really made for a type of card game!
