This deck of Tarot is my 1st tarot pack which I bought in March 1998. I must say, I bought it at an impulse and should have think twice before I act. The pictures depicted are quite unfriendly such as Sword of three will have 3 swords stabbing in a human heart. I find the image unpleasant even today. The guide book is very vague that it wont help u to decipher much on your interpretation. You may need to invest on other Tarot self-help books to do some research and improve on reading skill. I only used the deck once and since then, had bought another deck by Sasha Fenton and been using the latter till today. As for accuracy of the deck, I think this will depend on the reader skill. I tried using the Universal deck for trial reading but I really find it hard to interpret and understand based on the 10 appendices and the guide book given. Thus, if you are seeking for mysterious and yet intimidating tarot decks, this should be the one.

I love this tarot deck. True, the cards are not what one would consider traditionally beautiful, but they are quite incredible in their own right. There is a lot of symbolism in the cards, and one of my favorite things about this deck is that it incorporates many different religious beliefs into the pictures. It may be a little difficult for a beginner, but it is worth the time to learn it. I use this deck when I need advice or council in nearly every aspect of my life, and it has always helped me. The only reason I would not give this 5 stars is because the book that comes with the deck is not very detailed. This deck would be perfect with one of the many other tarot books out there. I use this book with Dorothy Morrison’s “Everyday Tarot Magic.”

This is definitely not a deck I would reccommend for beginners. However anyone who reads the accompanying book thoroughly and meditates on these images will have an excellent grasp of the theory and symbolism of the Tarot. Drawing richly on various cultures and traditions without compromising their integrity, it is rightfully called a “Universal” Tarot. The author’s insights are experiential and well researched. His designs reach deep into the user’s subconscious to tease out the intuitive impressions playing within. The deep impressionistic colors and constantly unfolding geometry keenly portray Mr. Miller’s sophisticated impressions of the Tarot keys in a manner which is tantalizingly mysterious and seemingly alive. This is the deck I use in my professional work as a diviner. I could give no higher reccommendation.

When I found the deck in bookstore, it really spoke to me, but when i actually saw the cards i was very dissapointed. I found the images dark and unattractive, and this made it very unpleasant to read.

I am a beginner in tarot, and needed to choose a deck quickly, and to learn quickly. there were so many to choose from. The universal tarot spoke to me, its a deeply spiritual and inspired deck that incorporates all religions, theologies, and unlocks the higher conscious symbols. Be forewarned that it offers no reading on reversed cards and the meanings are open to interrpertation.
