Visionquest is a under the radar type of movie – no one really talks about it – but great storyline, great music and great lines: Anyone who has done HS wrestling or any wrestling knows: it ain’t the 6 minutes, it’s what happens in those 6 minutes.
One of my all-time favorites, but no way Louden would have taken the state champ dpwn with a hip throw and pinned him in 27 seconds, but that’s the movies. More realistic if he pulled a switch or a single/double leg in the last three seccnds down by a point!

i hated cutting weight!!!! I remember having to lose 2 pounds in 4 hrs. And I end butting heads w/ my opponent and getting a gash above my eye…… 8 stitches and I bled like a murder victim!!!lol good times….. It was this song and “eye of the tiger” that were huge when I was wrestling……..

This song and scene remind me sooo much of my days of high school wrestling in the early to mid 90s. The song is by Red Rider – Lunitic Fringe – have it on my IPod and listen to it whenever I work out. This scene brings me back to the butterflies of waiting for the time to tick down on the match before…the anticipation of my match! Those were the days!
