Question by Ariadne: What kind of music do you use at Beltane?
I am a solitary who has found herself a wonderful pagan man. We are celebrating beltane together (wooo-hooo!) and I need some advise. What kind of music do you usually use during the ritual? We will be outside in the mountains. (I am bringing a little cd player.) Any other advise on what to add to the ceremonies is also appreciated.

There are lots of good ones. Stairway to Heaven might be good. If you want to get more into the esoteric side, maybe some new age wood flute or something.
When my High Priest was alive, the only music necessary was self-produced. I think you know what I mean.

I plan to use the kind by a queen size Serta. It has that squeaky edge that I like. 😉 The drumming is already in the package with a few dents we plan to put in the wall. ^_^
Well, I guess it would depend on what you like really. You could use something like just drum beats. Its simple but can raise great energy. If you want something on a softer side the have great cd’s with celtic harps, flutes and what not. If you want something with more bite I suggest anything by a group called Inkubus Sukkubus. They are a modern rock pagan group from Britain (I think). They are very good. If you go to their web page, you can listen to some of their music. have a great Beltane.

I agree with Wren about Inkubus Sukkubus. They are indeed a British pagan rock band with some great atmospheric songs just right for Beltane celebrations or indeed any sexy nights! Their songs are VERY pagan. Brilliant. You might know them from the vampire movie The Vampires of Bloody Island which they did some of the soundtrack to.
