I think it’s a smoky quartz with an amethyst vein or intrusion. I’d really just like to know what kind of metaphysical/hollistic properties it has, because I know I chose to wear it for a reason. Thanks for the replies! ^_^

It looks like amethyst…there are NO metaphysical or holistic properties associated with it at all. Quartz will generate an electrical current when pressure is applied to it, but it is not enough to be significant to human well being.

Amethyst and smoky quartz are the same mineral. The different colors are made by impurities in the mineral. The purplish color of amethyst is caused by iron or magnesium impurities and the grayish brown of smoky quartz by aluminum.
It has no metaphysical or holistic properties other than those make up in your imagination. Stones do not have ‘magic’. Sorry to be brutal; but this is the science category; not philosophy.
Yep, you’re right, smoky quartz with a dash of amethyst. The ancient greeks used to think that amethyst aided in thinking clearly… or soberly.
