Which Card is your Tarot Talisman?
When I decided that I wanted to learn to read the Tarot I chose to work with the Mythic Deck and the very first thing I did was focus and immeditate on every card for a few moments.
I mention this process in the first lesson of my free tarot course ‘The Pleasure of Tarot‘, as I found it helps you to develop your own images, symbols and messages from each card, which in turn helps you develop your own unique way of interpreting the Tarot cards. In fact, I believe it is the single most important exercise to perform when you are beginning to learn tarot.
As I worked my way through the deck a number of cards ‘resonated’ with me, I felt a particularly strong, happy and positive vibration.
These cards were:
The High Priestess
The Hierophant
It’s no surprise that I was drawn to the High Priestess, considering I was embarking on a new journey of self-discovery and wanting to enhance my ability to understand and use my intuition. This beautiful, feminine card represents spirituality, enlightenment and education. Getting in touch with the energy of this card helped me create the essence of Tarot.
The Hierophant helped guide me along my life path, as he stands for good counsel, and a giver of knowledge and enlightenment. Again no surprise I was
