Why am I accused of being close-minded so much?
I am completely willing to think about anything you throw at me before stating my opinion.
Atheists are not close-minded. You Christians should figure by now that generalization will get you nowhere. Close-mindedness is determined based on a specific person, not a nation of people.

Because the ones who say Pagans and Atheists are close minded are close minded themselves, since they can’t seem to understand there can be people with different views than them.
Contrariwise, not all Christians are close minded. It’s just the vast majority of Y!A troll Christians. Don’t pay them any attention. They’ll get banned soon enough.

Once there was a drop of water in a cup. No matter how hard someone shook the cup the drop stayed in place. it was inspirational. then it foretold someone would be jealuos of me so they would kill it. sure enough my friend went and smeared it because i demoted him in the cult. but its not my fault. he was incompetent
I am a Christian and I don’t think you are close-minded. As long as you are willing to look at the other side of things once in a while, you aren’t close minded, heck there are Christians that are close-minded. It’s mostly the people in this part of Q&A are.
To be fair I have to say that I have met a few atheists and pagans that ARE close minded. Just as you say, its determined on a specific person. Not all christians are close minded and not all christians generalize.
There apparently is a new definition of close-minded that has just been published in the dictionary this year…
Close-minded= those people who after listening to a certain point of view still don’t change their minds and refuse to think exactly as directed to.
It’s a cop out in a discussion to accuse someone of being close-minded just because they don’t agree with you.
For some people, disagree = closed minded.
They are similarly blind to the ironic-vice versa!
Perhaps, as an atheist, you ( in particular) are accused of being closed-minded because, in the past, atheists (in general) have often avoided rational discussion by accusing others of being close-minded.
Pagans, on the other hand, are far more reasonable than atheists, because they accept the possibility of the Unknown. They don’t believe the atheistic contradiction: they don’t think that the unknown is known. And although pagans are often confused with atheists, in truth, they’re anything but atheists:

I was not aware that I was accused of being closed minded. Perhaps you have a way of expressing your opinion that others find intimidating. I have noticed that misunderstandings are the most common cause for arguments. If a person feels intimidated by the opinion that you or another express, they may believe that you feel your opinion is fact, and have thus closed your mind.
This is news to me, that I am accused of being closed minded so, I really can’t help much than to help in your individual situation.
