“Metaphysical” is a tricky word with a lot of new age garbage attached to it.
However, since most of our bodies are empty space, and the particles in the atoms are such a minute part and the rest is “potential energy”, I’d have to say that some part of me exists beyond my particle based body. The space between the atoms is a mystery indeed.
